GLO All Expense Paid Trip To Old Trafford Is A Scam?

I saw this story on a popular Nigerian forum and I couldnt help but wonder what these telecom companies take us for. Its high time the NCC stand up to their responsibilities. This is exactly as the victim of their scam promo reported it.

You can only imagine how the mobile telecoms operators are just extorting and defrauding Nigerians with there ill taught out promos and lottery. Just the other day one of them proposed to hand over an airplane to a randomly selected winner shocked what higher form of con-tricks are there.

Uti Nwachukwu Is Gay?

Eww this is too harsh. For putting up a post so controversial like this they must be prepared for any legal battle. This was how Globalnewsng reported it.

His name is Uti Nwachukwu; some call him "Ugo Na Chonmma", others refer to him as Omoge to Rewa or the Hausa title "Kyakywar Yarinya" (gorgeous damsel).

The story of Uti will not only set the pace for blockbuster chart but is capable of re-orientating most struggling young lads out there. He is an ex-Big Brother winner and sometime in the past there had been very audible speculations about his sexuality. But that has in no way stopped the viciously ambitious young man from forging ahead. It is a known fact that most housemates and winners of both reality and talent shows become very irrelevant not too long after their rise to spontaneous stardom but for Uti, that is not the case as he has come in full blast into the world of entertainment.

From acting to presenting even to comedy shows, he’s calling the shots but it is in the area of style and fashion that his profile has witnessed the most astronomical rise. Local designers court him faster than Harry Winston does with Hollywood stars. There is no red carpet event that he does not attend looking glamorous and expensively trendy, give it to him, his swagger is unrivaled.

Photos From Stephanie Okereke Linus Surprise Birthday Bash From Her Husband

Stephanie Okereke Linus celebrated her birthday yesterday and his husband staged a surprised bash for the beautiful screen diva. Unknown to Stephanie, her husband was closely guarding a secret surprise birthday bash for her. To make his plans go smoothly, he had arranged for Stephanie to visit the hair stylists, booked her a session at a beauty spa to get her physically in the mood for an eventful evening. To put finishing touches to his plan, he had also invited about 30 of Stephanie’s closest friends, family and industry colleagues which included Nollywood beauties Ini Edo, Monalisa Chinda, producer Emem Isong, Kanayo .O. Kanayo, Frank Edoho just to mention a few, to a wonderfully organized candle lit dinner at their Ikoyi residence.

The celebrant returned to shouts of “happy birthday!” from friends, family, colleagues and loved ones. Already, there was a live  band to set the tone for the night. The actress was surprised as she was excited that she couldn’t hide it especially the presence of her colleagues at the event, as she laughed, exchanged banters and hugged family and friends.
The  quickly went inside to change to a more befitting outfit and joined the rest of the party. Former DBN host, Israel Edjeren was the MC – a job he did justice to. And the highlight of the event was when the celebrant’s husband, Linus Idahosa once again re-declared his love for his wife and serenaded her with a beautiful love song.

NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 3: AUDITIONS KICK OFF ACROSS THE COUNTRY OCT 13

On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, Nigerian Idol held a fun competition to engage its media stakeholders. Tagged, 'Press Idols', it discovered the hidden talent in journalists at the Shaba Events Centre Ikeja.
This was done as a kick off to the search for brilliant and outstanding singers for the third season of the show in Abuja, Owerri, Portharcourt, Benin, Ibadan and Lagos.

The one-off 'Press Idol' was anchored by Optima Media Group, owners of the Idols property in West Africa, with sponsorship from Etisalat.

Tiwa-Savage, kehinde Dacosta Lawrence and Yinka Davies sing Greatest Love
"We thought to ourselves: we are very grateful to the media, which has made this Nigeria's number one reality TV show," said Tiwa Medubi, the project manager. "So why not reward them... by putting them on the spot!
They are weekly shining the spotlight on the victories and mistakes, challenges and highlights of these contestants, and these was a fun way to enable them live the dream!"

The journalists did not disappoint, putting up thrilling freestyle music performances - popular songs from the old school archives, contemporary hits and plenty of humor and applause as they contested for the grand prize of $1000.

The contestants were randomly picked by Season 3 host, Ill Rymz: the first contestant was Efe Tommy of entertainment show Excite on TV who performed Whitney Houston's timeless 'Greatest Love of All'; the others were Hip on TV's Dayo Ephraim, Yes! Magazine's Gbenga Saba and Hitz on TV's Daniel Oramai.

"Let's just say, some of them chose right when they picked journalism over music," Medubi said, laughing. "But oh there were amazing pleasant surprises!"

The audience chose the winners - courtesy OMG, first prize of $1000 went to Oramai, the second place to Efe  with $500 - and third place to Shaba - with $200.

"Not a bad one at all," said Shaba. "Nigerian Idol has constantly engaged and surpassed the expectation of its stakeholders, and it has been an impressive show - this is one more step in a string of surprises we have come to expect from the hit show."

The launch event also had performances from season 2 winner Mercy Chinwo, runners up Joe Blue and Stephen Onochie and Naomi Mac of season 1, as well as an interactive session and multimedia presentations.

Nigerian Idol season three begins auditions on the 13th of October in the capital city Abuja then to Portharcourt on the 20, Owerri on the 27th, Benin 3rd November and finally Lagos on the 9th and 10th of November.

Picture of 27 year Old Man Who Cut Off His Hands To Prevent Him From Stealing

According to the bible, if your eyes will lead you to sin, pluck it out! and that is exactly what Egyptian, Ali Afifi did only he didn’t pluck out his eyes but cut off his hands from his wrists.

Ali took the severe decision following his inability to stop stealing and the feeling of guilt that comes over him after every act of theft.

In a situation he described asa ‘battle pitched’ against the devil, Afifi, 27, went to the main train station in the western Egyptian town of Tanta four years ago and waited for the train to approach where he was before dipping his hands under its wheels as hundredsof other train passengers watched in horror.

Following the shock of what happened, Afifi’s father sent him to an assylum. Following his release, Afifi sought the help of a local Islamic scholar to assist in chopping off the other wrist but the man refused citing the fact that he was not a ruler nor in a position to make that decision.

Rather, the Islamic scholar advised him to repent and seek God’s help. Left with no other choice, Afifi decided to carry out the act by himself. According to him(Afifi), “when I was finally released from theassylum a few months ago, I cut the other hand off to make sure I’ll never steal again.
